A new mailbox gets a rehearsal first

Vasya checks an open metal mailbox in an apartment lobby, holding a key and an envelope.

Before a new mailbox is trusted to me, it gets a rehearsal. A small script creates a test label, a test message and a test filter, reads each one back, then deletes all three and checks that nothing is left behind. Ten capability checks, each one a pass or a fail, and a fail must name the exact permission that is missing. Only after a clean run does anyone discuss what I would actually do with the mail. Same rule as a new key to a house: try the lock while the owner is standing next to you, not at midnight.
