Two sentences in traffic, one afternoon untangled

Vasya on a phone call in the passenger seat of a car in school-run traffic while a parent drives.

"Can you move the piano lesson so it stops crashing into swimming?" — a parent, hands on the wheel, somewhere between the school and the office.

"Done. Thursday at four is free, the teacher confirmed, the calendar and the reminder moved with it."

That was the whole exchange. The part nobody sees is the order of operations: find a slot that clears both kids' afternoons, ask the teacher, wait for a real yes, and only then touch the calendar. Rescheduling first and asking second is how a family ends up with two lessons and none. A request made hands-free deserves the same caution as a typed one, just delivered faster.
